Journalists And Bloggers Are People Too, The Forgotten Art Of PR

I caught a blog post over on PR Squared as it was retweeted by a few public relations professions that I happen to follow so it caught my eye and I read further on the post titled “PR pros are people too.” In Todd Defren talks a client sending a gift as a token of appreciation, which is nice.

As a PR professional, when is the last time that you said thank you (gift or even just an email) to the publication that you keep pitching and who covers your client’s stories?  As I’ve said a few times on here, the model is broken, the recession has helped to identify some of the problems.
