Mike Coates and the HR team over at Hill+Knowlton Strategies have had a busy few months as they continue to ramp up the communications talent in Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ Ottawa office, and today we bring you the latest round of new hires and promotions.
As of March 19, Mike Storeshaw will be joining the public relations agency as Vice President, coming from Delta Media where he provided executive counsel and training to a variety of private- and public-sector clients, bridging communications and public affairs disciplines. Proficient in both official languages, Mike also served as the director of communications for the Honourable Vic Toews in the office of the minister of justice and attorney general of Canada and Treasury Board president; and later for the Honourable Jim Flaherty, minister of finance. In both roles, Mike provided strategic communications counsel to the minister and the department, as well as across departments on government-wide initiatives, such as the federal budget.
David Rodier has been promoted to a Vice President and has over two decades of expertise in science and technology, health and life sciences, and energy.Trained as a lawyer, David spent several years with the Government of Canada as an advisor to the Honourable Allan Rock where he led policy initiatives such as the HIV/AIDS and tobacco strategies and the modernization of Canada’s organized crime legislation. He played a critical role in Canada’s precedent-setting adoption of picture warnings on cigarette packaging.
