Extreme Group Ramps Up With New Hires In Halifax And Toronto

Extreme Group has recently added three new members to its growing team in the company’s Halifax and Toronto locations.
Christine Santimaw has been hired as a Senior Account Manager. Santimaw previously worked in New York City at Robinson Lerer and Montgomery where she developed and implemented strategies for corporate litigation support, CEO transition and corporate philanthropy. Santimaw also worked for MT&L Public Relations and for Ruder Finn Inc., spearheading media programs for several of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

Denis Aucoin has also signed on as an Account Manager. He will work with clients such as the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia. A graduate of Dalhousie University, Aucoin spent the last six years at Nexient Learning where he was director of marketing.

Steve Martel has joined the agency as an Account Manager, returning to Halifax after two and a half years in Prince Edward Island where he was director of marketing for Bright Marketing. His agency experience has seen him develop a strong creative and marketing portfolio for clients ranging from interactive companies to golf courses. Martell also has several years of wireless communications experience that he will lend to Extreme’s Aliant team.

Extreme Group has also hired two team member who are new to the public relations industry, Natalie Fleming has recently become a Planning Coordinator and will be responsible for researching consumer insights to support the agency’s strategies. Fleming holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University and originally joined the agency for a work term as part of Mount Saint Vincent University’s public relations program.

Another newcomer to Extreme is Travis Smith, Account Coordinator. Smith joined the agency fresh from NSCC’s public relations program. He previously completed a political science degree from Acadia University and is responsible for providing day-to-day tactical support for the account team.

Extreme also recently announced key hirings in Toronto with the addition of Michael Armstrong as Vice President, Director of Client Services and Tony Fernando as Chief Financial Officer to the Senior Management team.
