Edelman Canada is looking to continue their presence across Canada and has made a few announcements of new hires and account wins over the last few months. In efforts to further expand their Digital and Technology Practices they appointed a new Vice President and hired a new Account Director. Salima Valji who is certainly no stranger to Canada’s technology sector  will joining as Vice President where she will focus on helping the public relations firm with its social media and interactive service offering. Salima was previously at Microsoft Canada as Web Strategy Manager for www.microsoft.ca overseeing customer engagement, demand generation, user experience and customer satisfaction. Before Microsoft Canada, she was e-marketing manager for La Senza Lingerie.

Chris Wood has been hired as an Account Director on Edelman’s technology team where he will overseeing brand building, awareness and media relations programs for several clients including Autodesk and Avanade. Chris comes to the table with several years of industry experience working with clients such as Sun Microsystems of Canada, Sony PlayStation, Nikon Canada, Epson, and Symantec Canada. Prior to Edelman, Chris was with Maverick Public Relations.
