Collin Douma Says Goodbye to Social Media Group

Collin Douma hit me up on Twitter last week to share the news that he’s left the Social Media Group. He spent a number of years with Marclaren Maclan and as social media hit the scene he quickly brought his unique approach to the boutique social media agency. Once I got over the surprise I started to go through my mental rolodex and try to figure out where would he go next? Would he join Twist Image and be the feet on the street in Toronto? Would Joseph Thornley snap him up and add to his growing roster of social media staff?  Or would Mitch Joel look to grow the company’s presence in the Toronto-area? He’s still being tight lipped on what that next move will be but I’m sure in the next few weeks we’ll start to see signs of his next move.

After all, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
