WPP, parent to both Cohn & Wolfe and GCI Group have merged to become one communications agency offering a variety of public relations services, and will have Cohn & Wolfe as the brand name. Here in Canada this represents the combining of locations in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary under the C & W name, and a Toronto location under GCI Group.

One Response to “Cohn & Wolfe and GCI Group Merge To Become One”

  1. Dave, thanks for the shout out. A quick clarification:

In fact, the merger does not affect Cohn & Wolfe in Canada. We are a wholly owned division of a Canadian company, Res Publica. While we collaborate with C&W offices around the world, the ownership structure is different. So we are not merging or taking over GCI in Canada.

But you are correct in identifying our offices in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, where we provide a full-suite of marketing communications for blue-chip clients, from traditional media relations to corporate brand building and public affairs to new/social media.

Looking forward to Tech Week 2008!
