CNW Group has announced an extension to their current new and information distribution service by incorporating a series of Twitter account. Now your news release can also be distributed over Twitter accounts that match their existing channels such as:
- Category – these feeds reflect specific categories describing the nature of a news release’s content
- Subject – these feeds provide news releases grouped according to the individual sections of a major Canadian newspaper
- Industry – the feeds deliver news releases grouped by specific economic sectors and/or the industry to which the issuing organization belongs
“Members of the media and the general public are increasingly using social media tools to gather news and information,” says Nicole Guilllot, Vice-President, Product Management and Operations, CNW Group. “Offering updates through Twitter is just one way CNW Group is working to ensure that our wire content is as relevant to the Web 2.0 environment as it is in newsrooms.”
