Social Media Showdown was conceptualized as an education program with the mandate of creating a bridge between industry agencies offering social media services and clients trying to better understand how to take advantage of the tools and subsequent campaigns being created.  We will share more details on the program in the coming weeks, but for now the call for judges for the 2009 Social Media Showdown is currently open!
If you are immersed in the social media environment anywhere in the world, we want to know!

The Process:

• The call for entries for the Social Media Showdown will open July  and continue through to September 2009.
• Judges will have approximately two weeks to make their selections from this group of entries, and will evaluate the entries relevant to their field of expertise.
• The Social Media Showdown Gala will take place in October in downtown Toronto, Canada

By participating, judges will have the opportunity to examine some of the greatest successes in social media, and to meet individuals who have excelled in the industry. Judges will also discover that this is a fabulous way to extend their presence in cyberspace and the social media domain.
